Where to start if you are new

If you still look down at the keyboard, start with touch typing fundamentals and then open Day 1 of the course. The first three days only use the eight home row keys, which feels slow but builds the muscle memory everything else depends on.

If you already type without looking but you are stuck somewhere around 35–45 WPM, skip ahead to speed training and use the free practice test to find which keys and which fingers are costing you the most time.

Preparing for a government exam?

If you are training for SSC CHSL, SSC CGL DEST, RRB NTPC or MP CPCT, the speed target and the penalty formula differ for every exam — and for SSC's Hindi medium the font is fixed to Mangal. Start with the government exam typing guide, and if you are typing in Hindi read हिंदी टाइपिंग कैसे सीखें before you pick a keyboard layout.
